2.1. Payment by credit or debit card
Payment can be made by credit or debit card or by contacting the Customer Service Center.
When placing an order on the website, the Customer must enter their payment details on the respective page. Credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the payment card issuer denies authorization for the payment due to Palumbo & Gigante, it will be the Customer’s responsibility to contact the issuer to resolve the problem. Palumbo & Gigante will not be responsible for any delay.
The transaction must be made directly from the Site using the credit cards indicated in the appropriate section in the footer of the Site. The Site will redirect the customer to the protected site of a Credit Institution (Banca Sella) to manage the transaction. The information relating to the buyer’s credit card is therefore not provided at any time to the Palumbo & Gigante Site since it is managed directly by the banking institution that manages the transaction. Credit card transactions are only possible after strong customer authentication.
2.2 Payment by bank transfer
Orders placed on the Website can be paid by bank transfer. By choosing payment by bank transfer, at the end of the order the customer automatically receives an email containing the bank details of Palumbo & Gigante after which the order is reserved pending the crediting of the bank transfer.

The customer is required to send a copy of the payment via email to [email protected] within two working days of receiving the order confirmation. If within this period Palumbo & Gigante does not receive a copy of the payment, it will cancel the order.
Palumbo & Gigante will not charge any commission for payments made by bank transfer.
2.3. Payment by Paypal
Once Paypal has been chosen as the payment method, the customer will be redirected to the official website where he/she will be asked to enter the data necessary to complete the payment. If the issuer of the payment card denies authorization for the payment due to Palumbo & Gigante, it will be the Customer’s responsibility to contact the issuer to resolve the problem. Palumbo & Gigante will not be responsible for any delay.
Once the purchase request has been received or after confirmation of the same, according to the methods indicated in the previous point 5 of the Conditions of Sale, Palumbo & Gigante may decide to refuse the sale, not proceeding with the supply of the requested products, for the following reasons:
In the event of refusal of the sale, Palumbo & Gigante will promptly notify the Customer at the email address indicated by the customer or, if this is unreachable, by registered mail with return receipt to the address provided.
In the event of refusal of the sale for the reasons indicated above, Palumbo & Gigante will refund the sums paid by the Customer within a maximum of 15 working days from the date on which Palumbo & Gigante has communicated to the Customer, also by email, the unavailability of the product, or the existence of one of the other impediments contemplated in this article has been ascertained.
Unless otherwise agreed with the Customer, the refund will be made by bank transfer or by crediting the credit card used for payment.
2.4 Security
Palumbo & Gigante takes precautions, including administrative, technical and physical measures, to safeguard personal information against loss, theft, abuse and against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Palumbo & Gigante uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption system for all internet pages where the insertion of personal information is required.
Palumbo & Gigante is committed to protecting the Customer’s personal information throughout the online sales process. However, it is not possible to guarantee the security and integrity of the data transmitted to the website and therefore Palumbo & Gigante cannot be held responsible for damages or losses resulting from the use of the Internet, such as in the case of hacking (illegal intrusion into computer systems). To secure transactions and prevent fraud, Palumbo & Gigante will carry out a credit card and anti-fraud check. When placing an order, the Customer will be deemed to have authorised Palumbo & Gigante to carry out these checks and, where Palumbo & Gigante deems it necessary, to transmit or obtain personal information that the Customer has provided to Palumbo & Giant to authenticate your identity, validate your credit card, obtain credit card pre-authorization, and authorize a specific purchase transaction.
